This theatrical production is a brand new adaptation based on the timeless novel by famed New York author James Fenimore Cooper.
The Lake George and Lake Champlain areas of upstate New York were the epicenter of a military chess game in the 1750's. Two major superpowers, France and Britian were fighting for control of these important strategic waterways, the natural riches of the land and control of the Native peoples.
Specific events unfolded around Fort William
Henry which has been reconstructed into a museum open to the public. Fort William Henry is strategically at the southern end of the majestic 32-mile long Lake George and surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains. During most of the 18th Century it served as the northern most outpost for the British Empire.
The story of the Last of the Mohicans, originally penned in 1826 by James Fenmore Cooper, has been translated into nearly every language in Europe and several in Asia according to Wikipedia. The novel is recognized around the world for its compelling messages of human struggle, prejudice and bold attempts at military world domination.
Fast forward with us from 1757 to today as the talented and dedicated cast of the Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama enchant and educate their audiences through a lively and compelling evening of entertainment under the stars.

" I just went to see the Last of the Mohicans Outdoor drama this past weekend with my 16-year old niece. We both loved it! The acting and overall production were wonderful. Horses, fire, and waterfalls- on a moonlit evening in the great Adirondacks! whether you're a local or vacationing from out of town with your family- if you enjoy outdoor events I highly recommend that you make plans to see The Last of the Mohicans outdoor drama at the Wild West Ranch.
"We enjoyed the two hours and for the price we felt it was the best value in Lake George Summer Entertainment!"
